“Do You Charge Fees?”
This is a fairly common question from prospective clients or people who have never worked with a travel advisor before.
While planning fees are part of our services, there are really three ways that we receive compensation for our time and work outlined below:
We receive professional, industry-standard compensations for some (but not all) of the services we contract on our clients' behalf.
We really hate fees, but as in most industries, sometimes they’re unavoidable. There may at times be fees for certain itineraries or types of travel, but we typically only charge for time and effort that may be poured into working on a trip that doesn't end up booking through us and our partners.
By far, the most important form of compensation we receive are referrals from our clients. We value every one because it is a testament to how much our clients value us...and the feeling is mutual!
While we usually just advise on air itineraries to help our clients in booking their own flights, if you choose to have our internal air department to research, issue, and manage flights not included in your trip package, there is a $75 per ticket booking/ticketing charge for domestic flights and $150 per ticket for international flights.
You will usually find that any service or planning fees assessed will pay for themselves in the value you receive, the time you save, or other benefits you experience on your trip.
However if at at the end of our experience together you decide our professional fee to be “not worth it”, we will happily issue you a refund.
