I’ve always been fascinated by surveys. The survey is launched, responses trickle in, results are shared, and then decisions are influenced by the outcomes. Sometimes I think they have more impact on behavior than they should…and I have to admit, I have RARELY been surveyed for anything, so I’ve found myself wondering, “Who exactly did they talk to? Were they just normal people off the street, or was it an audience with an agenda?” And thus, I often find the results to be suspect.

But when it comes to travel, it’s probably a little more of an honest assessment and measuring tool to understand where people are interested in traveling to or what the spots are on our collective bucket lists because, really, what agenda does a true adventurer have other than to share what their travel dreams are?
